Bowyer knows Birmingham favourites for drop
New Birmingham signing Lee Bowyer stated that Blues could benefit from the underdogs tag in the Premier League.
"It’s not a bad thing because people won’t take any notice of you," said the midfielder, who has signed permanently from West Ham United for two years on a free transfer to the Birmingham Mail.
"Whoever comes up gets written off to go straight back down anyway.
"I think Stoke did well to stay up, Hull also. We need to do the same.
"You’ve lost Newcastle from the league and who would have said that Newcastle, with the squad they had, would be relegated?
"That’s how crazy it is, how difficult. We will just have to see how things go, but we are all looking forward to it."
