Bournemouth will discipline Mings over photos

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Bournemouth will discipline defender Tyrone Mings after his antics in an Irish bar last week.

Tyrone Mings was slapped with a five-game ban by the FA for his nasty stamp on Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in March and the defender has now landed himself in another controversy.

Photos of Mings shirtless in an Irish bar emerged on social media this week and now Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has admitted that the 24-year-old centre-back will be disciplined by the club for his antics.

Howe said: "I have been made aware of it. That will be dealt with internally. We would not expect any of our players to be acting in that way during the season or even off-season, to be honest. It doesn't hold us in a good light.

"We have given the players a couple of days off this week. At this this stage of the season it is about keeping the minds fresh, the bodies fresh is all important. But the players have to be professional in between to make sure that they perform for the game so that is a disappointing thing to hear.

"You are always representing the football club whether you are in season, off season or wherever you are and what part of the world you are in. Professional footballers know that. It is disappointing because we want to focus on football and nothing else."
