BOURNEMOUTH V TOTTENHAM RECAP: Kane hat-trick steers Spurs to big win

Harry Kane rediscovered his goal scoring touch in spectacular fashion, notching a hat-trick as Tottenham thrashed Bournemouth 5-1 at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

The Cherries took the lead inside the opening minute, with Matt Ritchie's strike stunning the visitors.

Spurs responded well to the initial shell shock of having conceded an early goal, with Kane getting them back on level terms from the penalty spot in the ninth minute.

Mousa Dembele put Tottenham in front eight minutes later, before Erik Lamela scored Tottenham's third goal in the 29th minute.

Kane was on target twice after the half-time interval to secure a comprehensive win for Tottenham.

TALKING POINTS
Kane's return to form after a barren start to the campaign will have Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino salivating, while other Premier League managers will no doubt be quaking in their boots.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc was arguably to blame for three of the five goals conceded by the Cherries, as they slumped to their second 5-1 defeat in as many weeks.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Bournemouth travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the League Cup on Wednesday, before another road trip to face Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham face last-placed Aston Villa at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
