Newcastle United moved past Bournemouth on the Premier League table with a scrappy 1-0 win over the Cherries at Dean Court on Saturday.
Ayoze Perez scored the decisive goal in the 27th minute of the contest with what proved to be Newcastle only shot on target for the entire contest.
The Magpies leaned on goalkeeper Rob Elliot to secure them all three points, with the 29-year-old pulling off a series of stunning saves to deny Bournemouth an equaliser.
The Cherries finished with 20 shots on goal, compared to Newcastle's two.

TALKING POINTS
Bournemouth were unlucky to lose this one, with the home side controlling 67% of possession and dominating all facets of the match, except for where it counts most – on the score sheet.
The Magpies moved ahead of Bournemouth and out of the relegation zone for the first time this season, but they can't continue to rely on the luck they had against the Cherries on Saturday to ensure they avoid the drop this season.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Bournemouth travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea, while Newcastle host Leicester City at St James' Park.

QUOTES CORNER
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe sums up his feelings post match:
"It was very cruel for us today, we were excellent and controlled the game from start to finish. The goal was against the run of play and the frustrating thing for us was we kept knocking on the door and we felt it would come but it just wasn't meant to be.
"I can't fault the quality of the performance, the only missing thing was the goals on top of it. The last part of the game we lost belief, but apart from that I'm very pleased with the players. There's a lot of positives in the game, we can't dwell on the defeat."
Newcastle manager Steve McClaren discusses the performance of his goalkeeper:
"Rob was a big doubt and we needed him today. He's been injured and not trained, and I like him. He's a talker and experienced.
"We've played better than that, you can't explain football sometimes. We've played far better, created chances and been denied by goalkeepers but this week we had one bit of quality for the goal and the rest of the time we were defending for our lives and relied on our goalkeeper."
