Bournemouth trialist Ashley Nadesan features against Fylkir

Bournemouth have taken Horley Town striker Ashley Nadesan on trial.

The Daily Echo says the 21-year-old joined Cherries yesterday and lined up in a friendly against Icelandic club Fylkir, who are managed by former Portsmouth star Hermann Hreidarsson.

Nadesan played 70 minutes as Cherries ran out 1-0 winners thanks to Sam Matthews's finely-taken free-kick at Canford Arena.

He is set to spend the rest of the week training with Stephen Purches's under-21 squad before heading to Norwich for a pre-arranged trial.

Nadesan's agent Darren Lewis told the Surrey Mirror: “Millwall really liked Ashley and wanted to sit down and talk but they didn't want him to trial elsewhere.

“I'd already given my word that Ashley would go to Norwich and I think it's important for him to see what's out there and not be rushed into making a decision."
