Bournemouth striker Josh King urges calm after Everton defeat

Bournemouth striker Josh King urged calm after defeat at Everton.

The Cherries went ahead through King before losing 2-1 via a brace from Everton super-sub Oumar Niasse.

“We felt like we dominated the game," King told afcbTV. “Obviously when they scored the equaliser they made it hard for us. We're leaving the game disappointed because we feel we should have got all three points.

“We put in a good performance, but we maybe lacked a bit of discipline and focus in the last 20 or so minutes. When they scored the equaliser we should have maybe kept it that way and tried to see the game out for a point.

“But we always want to win games, and unfortunately for us they were the ones who managed to score.

“We had loads of chances. It's our own fault that we didn't win today. We should have put the game to bed but we didn't take our chances. They put their chances away and have come away with the points.

“We know we win games by scoring goals. We've got a lot of good goalscorers in this squad, with myself and JD. Benik and Lys are also very good finishers and we know the goals will come. Things just didn't go our way in front of goal today."
