Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson delighted to score in Cup win

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson was delighted to score in their Carabao Cup win over Middlesbrough.

Wilson scored a penalty on his first game back for nine months and set up Benik Afobe with a fine assist in the 3-1 win at Vitality Stadium.

"When you have a setback you work hard for moments like that," Wilson said of his goal.

"That hard work on the training ground, in the gym and the running with the sports science team, it was all worth it and I'm glad to get 90 minutes.

"We have a lot of good penalty takers.

"I was always going to step up and put it where I did - you visualise moments and goals when you have dark days.

"It will be nice to get one from open play soon, I'll save it for the Premier League!

"Getting through the game successfully was good, I was still pressing in the 90th minute, so I feel my fitness levels are quite good and it's really pleasing to be back."
