Former Everton defender Sylvain Distin is happy with his chance of joining Bournemouth.

The Mail on Sunday says Distin is set to return 'home' by moving to Bournemouth when the transfer window officially opens on Wednesday.

Distin, 37, is looking forward to living again in prestigious Sandbanks, dubbed The Millionaires' Playground, where he had a house when playing for Portsmouth between 2007 and 2009.

The lure of going back to the south coast was a key factor in the Frenchman opting to join newly-promoted Bournemouth following his release from Everton at the end of last season.
