Bournemouth's Howe excited for Everton fixture

Of all the enormous encounters his side will have in the Premier League next season, AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is most looking forward to making the trip to Goodison Park.

The 37-year old grew up an Everton supporter and admits heading to the blue side of the Mersey will give him more of a thrill than taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford, Liverpool at Anfield, Arsenal at the Emirates or Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

"Goodison Park will stick out for me, personally. I was a big Everton fan in my early years," said Howe who has guided the Cherries to England's top flight.

"I was born and raised in Watford, so they were my local team until 10 or 11 when I moved. But Everton were the successful team. I remember watching the 1984 Cup Final, the team in blue.

"Coming from the era where Match of the Day was the only football programme, the thing everyone stayed up to watch, yes absolutely. To see Bournemouth on Match of the Day is something I'd never have imagined possible."
