Bournemouth rejected a £15m bid for Benik Afobe from Championship side Wolves on the deadline day.
Wolves had originally sold Afobe to the Cherries in a £10m deal in January 2016, and according to the Sun, they wanted to re-sign him on Thursday.
However, the Cherries consider the 24-year-old as an important part of the squad and straight away rejected the bid.
Afobe has started two of Cherries' opening three league fixtures this season.
