Bournemouth are pushing to re-sign Chelsea defender Nathan Ake.

The Sun says the 22-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan with the Cherries before being recalled in January.

Boss Eddie Howe later launched an £18m bid for the Dutch defender that month, which was instantly rejected.

But Bournemouth are now set to snap-up the ex-Watford ace with a £20m-plus offer after missing out on Chelsea legend John Terry.

He is expected to sign a deal with the South Coast club when he returns from his holiday in July.

It is understood a number of other clubs are interested in the youngster, but the Cherries are favourites to land him.
