Bournemouth players: Mings stamp looks bad

Bournemouth players admit Tyrone Mings' stamp on Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic "looks bad".

Cherries pair Andrew Surman and Steve Cook were asked about the incident on Goals on Sunday yesterday but didn't shy away from the topic.

With footage of the incident, which landed Mings with a five-game ban, being shown in the Sky Sports studio, Chris Kamara says: "You have to admit it looks bad..."

Surman is first to answer and said: "You've got the benefit of video. At the time I didn't realise it happened, to be honest. But it's a difficult one."

Team-mate Cook then jumped in and admitted: "It does look bad."

Surman defended his man.

He said: "We believe he hasn't meant to intentionally hurt him. It doesn't look great on video but we believe what he's said.

"The FA have taken action and you have to respect that."
