Bournemouth plan new bid for Chelsea fullback Nathan Ake

Bournemouth aim to sign permanently Chelsea fullback Nathan Ake at the end off this season.

The Daily Mail says Ake, 22, spent the first half of the season with Eddie Howe's men and was the subject of an £18million deadline-day offer six weeks ago.

But the versatile defender is yet to play in the Premier League since returning to Stamford Bridge and his lack of game-time could open the door for a summer move — whether on loan or a permanent deal.

Chelsea will recall the impressive Andreas Christensen from his own loan at Borussia Monchengladbach this summer and manager Antonio Conte is already looking at other defensive targets.

Those additions could further relegate Ake in his rotation role as an option to replace Marcos Alonso at left wing back or one of Chelsea's central defensive trio.
