Bournemouth must change in Wilson absence - Howe

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists Callum Wilson will come back stronger from his knee injury.

Wilson, who had hit five goals this season, was stretchered off after 17 minutes during the Cherries' 2-1 defeat to Stoke last weekend and will miss at least six months of action after suffering a cruciate knee injury.

Howe said: "Callum has been remarkably good and really strong. He took the news of his injury like a man and immediately focused on the operation and his recovery.

"It is not easy when you are a flying one minute and then not being able to move your leg the next.

"I think we realised we are going to be a different team now so it is up to us to adapt and try and find a way of working with different players.

"You need to play to players' strengths and attributes so there's no point playing the same way if the players can't do what Callum does.

"I am excited to see a different side to our game and see how we adapt to that."
