Bournemouth have made an offer for Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks.
The Sun says Cherries boss Eddie Howe has made a £12million move for Brooks.
The Bournemouth boss has lodged a bid to make the 20-year-old forward a Premier League player.
And he will give the Wales Under-21 international a chance in the top flight like he did with England midfielder Lewis Cook.
Howe also wants to finally land Brentford centre-back Chris Mepham.
He failed with an attempt to land the defender in January but has returned with an improved offer.
Howe has targeted the 20-year-old as he reckons the youngster has the potential to make the step up immediately after impressing in the Championship.
