Bournemouth keeper coach Moss amazed by Federici fitness levels

Bournemouth goalkeeper coach Neil Moss is amazed by the fitness work of Adam Federici.

Ex-Reading stopper Federici made six Premier League appearances last season with the form of Artur Boruc keeping him out of the side.

Moss told the Daily Echo: "Feds has got plenty of years left. He is one of those who really looks after himself.

"He is a gym freak and a fitness freak and there is no reason why he couldn't go on for another 10 years.

"We had David James with us who was another one of those, who was playing for us at the age of 42.

"I don't see any reason why Feds can't go on until he is at least 40 bearing in mind the condition he keeps himself in.

"He wants to work, train and be out there longer than what is healthy for him! We have to send him in at times to make sure we don't damage him.

"If it was up to him, he would be out there 24 hours a day, diving around and making saves. He loves it.

"For me, it's great that we never have to worry about him behind the scenes. He is spot on.

"As a lad and a pro, we have never once questioned his commitment. He was a pleasure to work with all year."
