Bournemouth hitman Wilson hoping to feed off West Ham hostility

Callum Wilson is looking forward to the vitriol he'll undoubtedly receive at London Stadium this weekend.

The Bournemouth striker grabbed a controversial late equaliser in the 3-3 draw with West Ham at Vitality Stadium on Boxing Day. Replays latter showed the ball had clearly hit his hand.

"I know it is probably going to be a little hostile when I get there," he told the Daily Echo.

"But, as a striker, I feed off things like that. It makes you raise your game so, hopefully, that is what happens.

"I seem to do well against them. I have scored a few goals so, hopefully, I can continue the form I am in at the moment.

"For anybody, when you are getting booed away from home, you are going to try to prove a point and, regardless of that, I just focus on my own performance and it will only be a boost.

"It is a massive game. They are in and around us in the league so we know how vital it is to make sure we keep picking up points.

"I am mentally strong so things like that only add positivity to me and I feed off it so, hopefully, it happens."
