Bournemouth are the favourites to sign Juan Manuel Iturbe from AS Roma.
According to the Daily Mail, the Cherries have made their intentions clear by offering £16.2million for the 22-year-old Argentine who had previously been in talks with Watford.
Iturbe had undergone a medical with the Hornets on Monday and was set to join the Hertfordshire outfit on a £1.1m deal with the view to a permanent £13.2m shift from Roma in the summer.
However, Bournemouth made a fresh proposal in a bid to beat Watford to the signing of Iturbe which has prompted Quique Sanchez Flores' side to pull out as they are not keen on entering a bidding war.
Iturbe joined the Giallorossi from Verona for £15.75m in the summer of 2014 and is now set to join Eddie Howe's improving Cherries outfit having made 56 appearances in all competitions for Roma.
