Bournemouth's latest bid to ease their transfer embargo has been blocked by the Football League. The League refused a request for Cherries boss Eddie Howe to be able to add loan signings to his depleted squad.
Chairman Eddie Mitchell told the Daily Echo: "We asked the Football League board if they would lift the absolute embargo which was previously placed on the club to allow loan players, but they said no.
"It is disappointing we can't at least carry 20 members of the squad.
"It puts pressure on the players because we are down to a smaller squad than the 19. We do need to get an extra person in to help. We're just trying to get one loan player."
