AFC Bournemouth have defeated MK Dons 3-0 in the Carabao Cup second-round.

The Cherries dismantled their League Two opponents, with goals from Lyn Mousset and Ryan Fraser giving them a solid advantage at half-time. Jordan Ibe rounded off the victory in stoppage-time.

New arrivals, Jefferson Lerma and Diego Rico, both impressed in their debut competitive bows.

And speaking after the game, Howe was pleased to see both players get some yards in their legs.

"It's very difficult to come straight in and go well, but they did," said Howe.

"It will do them the world of good to have that experience."
