Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake excited by Koeman's Holland

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is convinced Holland are on the brink of a successful era under coach Ronald Koeman.

Holland were semi-finalists at the last World Cup but failed to even qualify for Russia and Euro 2016 in France.

Bournemouth defender Ake said: “We've got a new manager so things are going to change a little bit and I'm really looking forward to it.

"This is the moment when we have to build up again for the up-coming seasons, for the next tournament and it starts with this game.

"Obviously we have been a bit down the last few years and missed two big tournaments.

“Not getting to the World Cup was a big disappointment but we have won the last few games without playing well and need to carry that run on.

“I think now the mood is that we want to get back up there. There's a new manager now, we've got a lot of young players and we want to build for the future again. Hopefully we can do well.

Ronald Koeman is a big character in Holland and everyone knows him.

"All over Holland he is a legend for the Dutch people because of what he did for the national team."
