Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has apologised to traveling fans after their thrashing at Huddersfield.
Some 1,200 Cherries fans made the lengthy trip to John Smith's Stadium to watch their team and Dutch defender Ake sympathised with supporters.
He told the club website: "The fans came a long way to get here and we want to thank them for that.
"We wanted to give them a good result but we didn't so we are sorry and, hopefully, we can turn it around.
"Today was strange. For the past few weeks we have been doing so well. The first goal was sloppy and the second goal was sloppy and overall, the play wasn't good enough.
"We were second-best to everything. They won every header and every second ball and I think that was the story of the day."
