Bournemouth defender Ake up for showdown with Spurs striker Kane

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is up for today's test against Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Ake hopes the clash will be a dress rehearsal for England's friendly against Holland.

Centre back Ake, named in new Dutch manager Ronald Koeman's provisional 32-man squad for the game in Amsterdam on March 23, said: "It is always a good challenge.

"That is what you want to do; play against the best players in the league so I am looking forward to it.

"Kane is a top player. You only have to look at the number of goals he has scored for four seasons in a row now.

"He is so hard to play against and is always popping up in open spaces, is so quick, very strong and you always have to be 100 per cent focused on where he us.

"It will be a good test because he is one of the toughest opponents I have played against.

"It will be nice to play against England and against Kane as well. Everyone knows how good he is so you don't have to just watch this match.

"We all know how he is, how he plays and that he is a goal threat."
