The chairman of Championship leaders Bournemouth, Jeff Mostyn, says boss Eddie Howe will manage the Cherries in the Premier League, despite reported interest from elsewhere. The 37 year old has been linked with several top-flight clubs over the past month, including Newcastle United.
"He is back with us and I have no doubt Eddie Howe will manage a Premier League side and it will be AFC Bournemouth," Mostyn told BBC South Today.
The Chronicle has reported he is on Newcastle's shortlist of potential replacements for Alan Pardew, but while Mostyn described it as "flattering", he is confident Howe will remain at Dean Court.
"I think [Hull manager] Steve Bruce said it is always flattering when you are associated with a job. Eddie is flattered he has a job and he has the job he longed for."
