Bournemouth boss Howe: Jordon Ibe in good spirits

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe says Jordon Ibe is in good spirits despite a mugging at knifepoint.

Thieves rammed Ibe's car in Surrey Quays, south east London, before threatening him with a knife and stealing a £25,000watch from the former Liverpool winger.

Ibe missed Bournemouth's win against Stoke City last Saturday through illness, but Howe confirmed he would be available for the visit of Arsenal at the weekend.

"It was an unsavoury, unfortunate incident but Jordon is fine," Howe said.

"Security is strong here and there is plenty of advice available for players, but it is difficult once they are out of our control and they will be easy targets, especially given the cars they drive.

"How do you protect them?"
