Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is an admirer of how Southampton run their club.

The Cherries meet Saints today in a south coast derby.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “I think Southampton have an excellent youth system and as a club are continually bringing young players through.

“All credit to them for doing it that way, which I think is potentially the hardest way, but they have continually done it.

“It is never easy to remain successful when you sell your best players so I think it's a really hard model to match."
