Bournemouth boss Howe delighted with Mings swap deal

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is delighted with their swap deal for Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings.

Two Cherries players have departed for Portman Road - winger Ryan Fraser has joined Ipswich on a season-long loan, while Brett Pitman has moved on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Mings has signed a four-year deal and becomes Bournemouth's fifth summer signing.

Howe told afcb.co.uk: "I'm looking forward to learning from the manager's ideas.

"They will be different to what I'm used to but that can only be a good thing.

"I'm here to develop and learn as much as possible."

Pitman has scored more than 100 goals in two spells with Bournemouth and departs as the club's fourth all-time leading scorer.

Fraser is a Scotland Under-21 winger and moved to the south coast from Aberdeen.

Howe added: "We are signing a player of huge potential.

"We believe he has everything required to be a success in the Premier League.

"He's a good age as well and I think there's a lot of scope for him to improve.

"He's been linked with Premier League clubs for a long time now and is very highly regarded for his performances for Ipswich.

"Albeit for a short period of time, he has shown great promise.

"He fits the mould we are looking for - young, progressive, ambitious and wants to improve.

"Hopefully it will be a successful period for us coming up and he can be a big part of that."
