Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has stated that he is very happy with Jermain Defoe's full debut for the Cherries.
Defoe was handed his first start for Bournemouth since his move from Sunderland over the summer and following the game, Howe praised the veteran striker for his encouraging performance during the encounter.
Howe said: "His movement was excellent, which has been a feature of his career. It was great to see him creating chances and with us getting him in a position to score.
"We tested him in the game against Birmingham and he is now in a better position to come through 90 minutes. He worked hard and never stopped running."
