Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was delighted with their 4-0 rout of Middlesbrough.
Howe was full of praise for his players for making the extra man advantage count after Gaston Ramirez had been sent off for the visitors.
"We started very well and I think that was key," he explained.
"With a game of this importance, to score early did gave us a massive lift, it was the perfect start.
"It was a trademark goal for us, it was well worked down the left hand side.
"The second goal was massive for us in the game. We wanted to come out fast with a high tempo and it worked, the sending off was difficult for Boro to handle too.
"But you have to praise our team, ten against 11 can be very difficult and we saw it out comfortably in the end, it was a really good performance from us."
