Bournemouth are preparing a deal to sign Aberdeen striker Steve Lovell.

The 27-year-old Englishman is out of contract at Pittodrie after failing to win a new deal with the club.

And Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond is desperate for Lovell to rejoin t he club he played for a decade ago.

"Steve Lovell is someone I admire," he said. "I worked with him at Portsmouth and I believe he would improve us."

As the League Two outfit are in administration, their hands are tied in the transfer market until a proposed takeover is finalised in July.
