Bournemouth among clubs interested in Crystal Palace striker Gayle

A number of clubs are lining up for Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle according to reports.

Premier League new boys Bournemouth are among the clubs showing interest in the 24-year-old who joined Palace in a £6million deal in 2013.

According to the Daily Mail, Championship trio Middlesbrough, Fulham and QPR are also keen on Gayle who scored five Premier League goals last season.

Boro are believed to be leading the race for Gayle as Aitor Karanka chases a new striker while the R's are in the hunt as they get ready for life without star striker Charlie Austin.

Former lower league star Gayle could be forced out at Selhurst Park following the recent arrival of Connor Wickham from Sunderland, the loan addition of Chelsea's Patrick Bamford and the south London club's reported pursuit of Austin.
