Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is pushing to land free agent Bakary Sako.
The Daily Star says Howe wants to steal Sako from under the noses of Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Everton.
Mali winger Sako, 27, was released by Wolves last month after failing to agree a new contract.
The 15-goal star wants a four-year contract worth £80,000-a-week, which would make him the highest paid player in the Cherries' history.
Bournemouth have already signed winger Christian Atsu on a season loan from Chelsea this summer but Howe is keen to add to his options out wide.
