Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra has played down reports linking him with a move to Hamburg. The German outfit are reportedly preparing to bid £5.25million for the Algeria defender, although Rangers says they have received no offer.
"I'm aware of the speculation about Hamburg," Bougherra told the Scottish Sun.
"It's only speculation right now and I will go on holiday then report back to Rangers.
"I've always said I'm happy at Rangers and any deal would have to be right for them."
Gers chief executive Martin Bain insists there has been no approach from Hamburg and stressed Bougherra still has two years left on his contract.
"We have had no contact from Hamburg and know nothing about this," Bain told the Daily Record.
"It is worth pointing out that Madjid is under contract with us until May 2012."
