Jay Bothroyd was impressed by the way Cardiff fought off Premiership interest for his services in the transfer window and wants to retain that faith by firing the Bluebirds into the top flight. The newly-capped England striker told Wales Online: "It's my dream to help Cardiff City get to the Premier League.
"I'm not from Cardiff, but I consider myself a Cardiff boy now. The fans at Cardiff City have always treated me really well and I'm grateful to them for making me feel wanted here.
"Obviously there's been a lot of speculation regarding my future and other teams being interested in me.
"I'm really happy to still be here. All I'm focused on now, and all I have been focused on, is contributing to our cause and helping us get promoted."
