Botafogo remain confident Vieri will sign
Botafogo insist they will sign Christian Vieri.
The former Italy striker denied reports last week that he would resume his career in Brazil.
But his representative, Franck Assuncao, met with Botafogo president Luiz Pereira to finalise details over the transfer.
"On Wednesday I will go again to Botafogo to sign all the documents," said Assuncao, "and immediately after, the news will be confirmed by the club's official website."
Vieri will go into training with Botafogo for ten days of trials before officially being unveiled in the final week of November - if all goes to plan.
