Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has made summer signing Lee Peltier as captain on a hunch. The 25 year old, signed from Leicester during the close season for an undisclosed fee, was handed the captain's armband in Saturday's opening-day league win over Wolves.
"I actually decided last weekend," Warnock told the club's official website. "I watched him cajole and talk to the players and organise them and in training I've watched him.
"It was a gut feeling and it's a feeling you get. He's a nice lad off the field and on the field he's respected by the players and I'm delighted that he's captain of such a great club."
