Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich believes the Red Devils should look to hire sacked Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as a replacement for under fire manager Louis van Gaal.
United suffered their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat at the hands of Stoke City on Boxing Day, and Bosnich believes the time for change at Old Trafford has come.
"Originally when Sir Alex Ferguson retired I thought he [Mourinho] would have been the best choice to go for then," Bosnich told talkSPORT.
"I know a lot of people have their doubts but the bottom line is he is one of the best managers in the world.
"Everywhere he has gone during his career he has won trophies and if you speak to the majority of Manchester United fans, they just want to get back to the glory days where they are in the hunt for the major trophies."
