Jose Bosingwa admits Guus Hiddink has made a positive impact at Chelsea.
Bosingwa was close to Luiz Felipe Scolari, but told the Daily Express: "The team have totally changed since Hiddink took over and not only because of the victories.
"Every player has a different look on their face in training. We work hard and have different training sessions, but the motivation is different and we work with a lot of joy too.
"Hiddink is different to Scolari. Scolari is still a good coach and I respect him. But Hiddink's training sessions have more rhythm to them and he also has more conversations with the players. He speaks to the players a lot more on a day-to-day basis.
"I felt sorry for Scolari because he had no luck. He's a great coach, but Hiddink has given us new direction."
