Arsenal target Granit Xhaka has admitted he could imagine himself playing for the Premier League club.

Earlier this week Xhaka's current side Borussia Monchengladbach confirmed they had received a bid for their club skipper, for whom Arsenal offered £33.8m last week.

In an interview with Swiss television channel SRF the 23-year-old confirmed that he wants to have his future clarified before the European Championships,

Whilst he remained evasive over interest from Arsenal, saying he was "the wrong person to ask", he did admit they were "absolutely" a club he could envisage himself playing for.

He added: "Whether there are talks or not, the clubs Gladbach and Arsenal know that, but as of now I am still a Gladbach player.

"It might change in the next weeks or it might not change."
