As he signed for Borussia Dortmund on-loan, Kevin-Prince Boateng was full of praise for parent club Tottenham.
The 21-year-old struggled to get a game in the Barclays Premier League after leaving Hertha for White Hart Lane, but claims he did benefit from his spell in England.
"It was a good school," he said in an interview with Kicker magazine. "The first thing you have got to do in England is think backwards.
"Ledley King was my inspiration - he is a great defender with fine positioning.
"To train with great footballers like Luka Modric and Dimitar Berbatov was great fun. It is fun to just watch them."
