Mitch Langerak is close to making his debut with the Australian national team.
The 25-year old Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper is yet to make his international bow despite being involved in a number of Socceroos squads but manager Holger Osieck suggests that will change after he named the former Melbourne Victory man in a 24-man squad for next month's friendlies with France and Canada.
"Mitch Langerak deserves a minimum of one game because he's a very good servant to our team," Osieck said.
"He will get a game, that's for sure, and then we'll see how we go from there."
Langerak is one of two keepers named by Osieck, along with Club Brugge gloveman Mat Ryan, whilst veteran Mark Schwarzer has been left out in order to get some game time into his expected successors.
