Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Mitch Langerak could be handed his Australian national team debut in Brazil next month.
With the Socceroos set to take on the Brazilians in Brasilia on September 7 (September 8 AEST), manager Holger Osieck suggests the 25-year old will be getting his first international opportunity.
"I have definitely thought about giving Mitch some game time in Brasilia," Osieck said in a teleconference from Europe.
"He's been with us on a number of occasions and I really want to find out what he can do.
"He should get the opportunity to get on the pitch."
Osieck added: "At present Mark (Schwarzer) is our leading goalkeeper but I have to find out who else could make the squad for the World Cup.
"Mat Ryan is doing well with his new club Brugge in Belgium and Eugene Galekovic played very well for us at the East Asian Cup.
"So there are several goalkeepers who will be vying for a spot in the squad but it is a little bit too early to be making any statements on that."
