Borussia Dortmund make Chelsea striker Morata priority target

Borussia Dortmund have made Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata a priority target for the summer market.

The Daily Mail says Dortmund are monitoring the situation of Morata ahead of plotting a summer move.

Reports in Germany state the Bundesliga giants have made the Spaniard a top priority to spearhead their forward line next season.

Morata made his debut in English football last season after arriving in a £75million deal from Real Madrid, becoming Chelsea's record signing in the process.

The 24-year-old scored 11 goals in 31 Premier League games in his maiden season in England, though found his strong early form hampered by injury.

An issue with his back kept Morata out for large spells, causing the goals to dry up and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to consider his other options.
