Borussia Dortmund have made it clear that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not in talks with Manchester City.

Reports emerged on Tuesday that the Gabon international was close to joining City in a £50million-plus deal after talks had reached an advanced stage.

However, Dortmund have denied rumours that the 26-year-old, who scored 39 goals last season, is on his way to the Etihad Stadium.

BVB's press officer Sascha Fligge told DPA news agency: "We know nothing.

"We don't know anything about the story and we will not comment on the countless summer rumours."
