Borussia Dortmund II coach Jan Siewert is close to taking the Huddersfield Town job.
The Mirror says the Yorkshire club lured David Wagner from Dortmund II in 2015 and have returned to the Bundesliga side to land their reserve-team boss again.
It is understood Huddersfield will pay around £265,000 compensation to Dortmund for the remaining 18 months of Siewert's contract.
Siewert, 36, is regarded as one of Germany's best young coaches and was in charge of Bochum's Under 19s before taking over as Dortmund II coach in July 2017.
Siewert's first club job was a season in charge of Essen in 2015-16 and he has also assisted the Germany Under 17 and Under 18 set-ups.
Huddersfield owner and chairman Dean Hoyle wants a continuity appointment to build on the foundations laid by Wagner and feels Siewert is that coach.
