Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Everton have opened talks about making Steven Pienaar's loan move to Goodison Park a permanent one.
The South African has impressed hugely during his stay on Merseyside and manager David Moyes is now looking to finalise a deal.
Pienaar would cost Everton just over £2million and it now looks as if a deal is in the pipeline.
"Steven Pienaar wants to stay at Everton," said Borussia chief Michael Zorc.
"There are clear signals that the club will take up their option to buy him."
