Borussia Dortmund are actively seeking to re-sign Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Daily Star says Dortmund are eyeing up a return for Mkhitaryan with the Armenian out of favour at Manchester United.

The Bundesliga side are plotting a move for their former playmaker who has struggled for first-team football in recent weeks.

After an indifferent start to the campaign, Mkhitaryan has not started any of the Red Devils' last five fixtures.

He has just three goals this term after a mixed first campaign at the club in 2016-17.
