The agent of AC Milan striker Marco Borriello has doused claims that his client is set for a move to Manchester United.

Tiberio Cavalleri has welcomed the link between Borriello and United but said there has been no contact with Sir Alex Ferguson's men.

"I too read this story about Manchester United and these things are always pleasing," Cavalleri told Calciomercato.it.

"The fact he is considered overseas to be an ideal partner for someone like Wayne Rooney is further proof of how well he has done this season with Milan.

"Having said that, I have had no concrete information or official news on this matter, so at the moment it remains just rumours. Later on, we'll see."
