Reports emanating from Mexico suggest that a trade deal between Atlante FC and MLS' Chivas USA is about to take place.

Chivas defender/midfielder Jonathan Bornstein is set to move to Atlante with Venezuelan striker Giancarlo Maldonado moving the other way.

Mexican website Televisa Sports reported the following: 'In addition to Paraguayan Robert Servin , Uruguayan Mathias Cardacio and fellow Argentine Nicolas Torres, Atlante announces one more hiring.

'This is Jonathan Bornstein, currently with the U.S. national team representing his country in the World Cup South Africa 2010.

'Bornstein plays defense or midfield and transfers from Chivas USA of MLS to los Potros (Atlante FC's nickname) in a trade.'
