Borini: Sunderland impressed Chelsea boss Mourinho

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini has revealed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho expects them to stay up this season.

Chelsea overcome Sunderland 4-3 in midweek and congratulated their manager Gus Poyet on the performance.

On-loan Liverpool striker Borini said: "If we play the way we did against Chelsea we won't get relegated.

"We do not deserve to be at the bottom. Playing like that against a top team was good but the key will be doing it against our rivals at the bottom.

"The manager told us that Mourinho congratulated us on the performance. Mourinho said he was surprised by it.

"We are a different team from when Poyet took over. We lost 4-0 that day to Swansea, he has started to pick the right team and building up a way of playing that is different.

"And he is trying to pick the best players now.

"We don't feel like the worst team in the Premier League, because we are not the worst. That is the mentality we have to keep."
